This week on the show, we’re chatting with Chris Stefanyk, Head of Brand Partnerships at Wattpad. Chris was initially drawn to Wattpad through his interest in startups and the transformation of digital spaces, and has now been there for over five years.
Last year, Wattpad teamed up with Ben & Jerry’s Canada for the “Pen Your Pride” campaign in support of the LGBTQ+ community. The brands worked together to host a write-a-thon and encouraged members and allies of the LGBTQ+ community to submit their stories.
We talked to Chris about debuking Gen Z myths, Wattpad’s values as a platform and how the campaign provided a safe platform for people’s voices to be heard.
